Atk 605 Service Manual

Hello everyone: I just picked up a mint cond 94 ATK 605 ES from a fellow inmate. He had oil & filter change, valves adjusted, spark plug, and new cam belt about 300 miles ago. Service date was in summer of 2015 or a bit earlier. I read in ATK manual to change oil every 1000 miles and filter every 5000 miles. Cam belt change is recommended by some ATK enthusiasts every year. My question is I plan on just putting around local fire trails this winter/spring in Palmdale CA area, really a newbie in the dirt. Your thoughts on riding bike as is?
Atk 605 Frame
I am pretty anal about my bikes and maintenance. Rotax motor requires the complete exhaust to be taken off to access the oil filter! Thanks a lot for any advice.
